The Table des groupes de femmes de Montréal (TGFM) is a regional feminist coalition that brings together organizations dedicated to promoting and defending the rights and interests of women in all their diversity across the Montreal region. The diversity of its member organizations is one of TGFM’s greatest strengths, as each brings unique experiences and perspectives from various sectors.

TGFM facilitates multiple committees and working groups composed of representatives from member organizations and local partners from different networks. These committees work to implement the strategic plan developed by and for its members.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Comité de coordination (Coco – our board of directors), the Community Organizer and Co-Coordinator actively contributes to the implementation of the strategic plan, in collaboration with the coordination team and the organization’s members.

Within a horizontal structure, they co-lead various areas of work in partnership with other team members, plan and follow up on the committees under their responsibility, and support the flow of information, while also contributing to the organization’s internal management.

Through their work, they maintain essential relationships with the organization’s members and partners, while directly contributing to the fulfillment of TGFM’s feminist mission.

Responsibilities

TGFM’s coordination team consists of six people in community organizing and co-coordination who report to Coco (the board of directors). Together, the team is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Co-manage all administrative aspects of the organization in collaboration with Coco members and the coordination team.

For this position, the areas to be filled are as follows:

  • One (1) internal management area, in collaboration with another team member and Coco representatives:
    • Finance: Budget planning and monitoring, financial reporting and accountability, day-to-day bookkeeping operations, grant writing, supporting accounting processes, petty cash management, etc.
