Virtual Lunch and Learn on intimate partner violence against women and homelessness
Research key findings will be presented on Tuesday, December 7 at noon.
A research study was conducted in 8 regions of Quebec to document the connections between violence against women by intimate partners and homelessness. This research allows:
- Describe four "typical trajectories" marking the passage of abused women into homelessness;
- Better understand the gaps in preventing homelessness;
- Develop a series of recommendations to strengthen the support available.
Research highlights will be presented on Tuesday, December 7 at noon by Catherine Flynn of the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, Mylène Bigaouette of the Fédération des maisons d'hébergement pour femme (FMHM) and Audrey Gosselin Pellerin of the Réseau des Tables régionales de groupes de femmes du Québec. This lunchtime discussion will also be an opportunity to reflect on changes in our practices and the demands to be made in this regard.
