Gender identity demystification workshop (in French)
Description of the workshop
This GRIS-Montreal workshop is given in the form of testimonials by a duo of trans or non-binary volunteers specially trained to answer even the most intimidating questions from participants.
The workshop is divided into two parts:
- A brief autobiography of the volunteers
- A question period where the volunteers invite participants to ask any questions they may have about gender diversity. Volunteers commit to answering them as openly as possible by talking about what they have experienced and what they are still experiencing today.
When: Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Where: On zoom
For whom: Regular and allied TGFM members

This initiative is part of one of TGFM's priorities, which is to initiate a process of reflection, education and training to transform our practices in order to improve inclusiveness at TGFM, particularly with regard to people of sexual and gender diversity and people with disabilities. Additional initiatives will be implemented throughout the year. More details to follow.
As a group of feminist organizations that provide services primarily or solely to women, TGFM believes that it is our responsibility to engage in awareness and education about the realities of non-binary and trans people to ensure that our environments are as inclusive and safe as possible for both the work teams and the people who attend our organizations.
We look forward to seeing you there!
